Every home is prepared to embrace you from day one. Bedrooms are equipped with essential furnishings such as a bed, dresser, and chair.

Our homes are uniquely designed for shared living, giving residents the chance to build trust, support one another, and feel part of something larger than themselves — not isolated or forgotten.

24/7 Security
The safety of every resident is non-negotiable. Our homes are equipped with protective measures like locks, secure entry systems, video monitoring in shared spaces, and on-call trained support staff.
Drug & alcohol free Homes
Alcohol and illegal drugs are not permitted in any of our residences. This ensures every resident can live in a calm, predictable space that supports personal progress, accountability, and well-being.
High speed internet
Free internet is included in every DoorHaven residence to communicate with family, caseworkers, jobs, online banking, and more.
On-site laundry
Each home also includes on-site laundry facilities, available on scheduled days, so residents can easily take care of personal needs without leaving the property.
light housekeeping
Our homes are maintained to promote respect, cleanliness, and shared responsibility. Members will have weekly cleanup as a household however, light professional cleaning is provided monthly, covering common areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces.

Our work is guided by biblical principles of integrity, excellence, compassion, and stewardship. We endeavor to build meaningful, trustworthy relationships with our residents, caseworkers, and community partners.
OUR RESIDENTS
Our residents must be capable of caring for themselves and do not require medical supervision or assisted-living services. We do not provide medical care, therapy or counseling, nursing or assisted-living services. We DO, however, provide what many seniors ,veterans, gig workers, and travel nurses need and desire most — a stable, structured, and cozy place to live.
OUR MODEL
Our shared-housing model is designed to benefit everyone involved:
- Members receive safe, clean, and affordable housing in a professionally managed home on a short or long-term basis.
- Caseworkers & other service agencies gain access to reliable placement options for members in need.
- Property owners receive stable, short or long-term rental income with professional oversight.
Each DoorHaven residence is an independent living home where residents share bedrooms and common areas. However, private rooms may be available for those requiring such accommodations.
Our members choose co-living for the benefit of combatting loneliness, gaining affordable support, enjoying shared activities, and remaining independent whilst fostering community. Homes are fully furnished, utilities are included, and professional standards are maintained to ensure safety, cleanliness, and accountability.
The Program
Participant Eligibility & Self-Sufficiency Requirements
All residents of DoorHaven shared living homes must be able to independently manage their daily living needs. This includes personal hygiene, dressing, preparing and eating meals, managing prescribed medications, and maintaining personal and shared spaces.
Residents are also expected to keep their shared bedroom and common areas clean, be respectful of housemates, and arrange their own transportation for work, appointments, and personal activities.
This ensures our homes remain safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environments for everyone.
Simple & Flexible Payments
Program Enrollment Fee
Upon Acceptance into a DoorHaven Shared housing placement, a one time non-refundable community enrollment fee of $200 is required. This covers onboarding, room set-up, administrative processing, linens, and placement coordination.
Multiple payment methods
DoorHaven makes it easy for residents and placement partners to handle housing payments. We accept multiple payment methods including credit/debit cards, money orders, and digital platforms such as Zelle, Venmo, Stripe.
Monthly housing costs
Shared bedroom placements with DoorHaven will vary from property to property. the monthly rate for each home will be clearly listed once a room is available for renting. the rate will always cover furnished housing, utilities, internet and access to a professional managed living environment. housing is offered on a 6 month or 12 month basis. residents remain eligible for the program by submitting on time monthly housing payments. residents who remain in good standing may continue their stay by renewing their membership at the end of each term.
